Elita Karim is a Bangladeshi popular pop singer. She is one of the heart-touching female singers in the country. Her full name is Dilshan Karim Elita but she is best known as Elita around the country. Elita Karim comes to a close of listeners within a very short time in Bangladesh.
Elita Karim Early Life:
Elita Karim was born on September 04, 1982, in Hathazari, Chittagong to Nurul Karim and Dilruba begum. Through her father Nurul Karim’s jobs, the family went to the kingdom of Saudi Arabia when Elita was two months old. She rose in Saudi Arabia and got inspired to be a singer by listening to her mother’s songs at home. Elita Karim didn’t take any formal education in music, his only mother was her teacher. She has two brothers-Emili, and Elin, and a sister Elora who studied at North South University. Emili is also a singer and Elin is a journalist for the Daily Star. Elita Karim came to Bangladesh in 2001 in pursuing to higher education, she completed Honors and Masters in English.
Elita Karim Career:
Elita Karim started her career as a journalist in the country’s leading English daily the Daily Star. Then she connected with the Black Band but her first mixed album was released in 2009 with the title ‘Amar Prithibi’. She formed her own band named Raga, she released an album by the name of the band but the band didn’t exist now. In 2009, her mixed album ‘Antohin’ was released and is well discussed in the market. Elita Karim couldn’t release her single music album even after lots of time from her career began, finally in 2015; she released her first single album Elita 2015.
In 2003, Elita Karim joined the Daily Star as an entertainment reporter. Then she worked as a senior reporter in the Star Magazine and editor of the Star Campus Magazine. Now, she is working as a feature editor of the Daily and got various awards for journalism including Red Cross International award. Elita Karim also worked as Radio Jockey and acted in several dramas including ‘Mukim Brothers’.

Elita Karim married Ashfaque Nipun on May 29, 2015. Ashfaque Nipun is a television drama director.
