Vitali Das was from Majgaon, North Guwahati and brought up there. She studied in the Senairam Higher Secondary and Multipurpose School, Guwahati. She was graduated from college at Gauhati University.

Vitali Das was married to Bubu Das (nickname). Bhitali had a daughter named Kamalika Kashyap aged 15 years as of 2021.

Vitali considered Lata Mangeshkar as her model singer. Her favourite singers are Bhupen Hazarika, Asha Bhosle, Gulam Ali, Jagdish Singh, etc.
Vitali Das died of Coronavirus (Covid19)
In April 2021, Vitali Das was contracted with contagious Coronavirus (covid19) and was admitted to Guwahati’s Kalapahar COVID care centre on 14 April 2020. On April 21, it was reported that she was in critical condition from the complications of Covid19. She was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as her conditions worsen.
Vitali Das succumbed to coronavirus on 21 April evening at 7:05 PM where she was undergoing treatment.
Death of Brother
Hearing the death news of Bhitali Das on 21 April her brother Parag Das became unconscious and fell down in the bathroom. Parag Das was admitted to GMCH and died on 25 April 2021 Sunday Night. Parag Das was a cultural worker.
