Doherty reveals that he auditioned to play Riff in Steven Spielberg’s remake of “West Side Story.” “I didn’t get that, and I was so sad,” he says. “That was the greatest heartbreak of my life. I just love ‘West Side Story,’ and I really, really wanted to do that.”
