Terrence Malick’s biography

Terrence Frederick Malick (born November 30, 1943) is an American filmmaker. Malick began his career as part of the New Hollywood wave with the films Badlands (1973), about a murderous couple on the run in the 1950s American Midwest, and Days of Heaven (1978), which detailed a love triangle between two laborers and a wealthy farmer during the First World War, before a lengthy hiatus.

After around 40 years of being in a directing and producing career, Terrence Malick is now worth $15 million. His film career started in 1969 when he directed the comedy film, Lanton Mills. However, his major breakthrough only came in 1973 when he directed the Badlands, starring Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek.

In 1978, he took home the Best Cinematography Award and Best Director in the Cannes Film Festival for the film Days of Heaven. Terrence Malick also directed several films which earned him a great deal of impressive reputation as a director in different prestigious and world-renowned film festivals.
