Swami Chinmayanand is a well-known Indian ex-minister and politician who draws huge media attention when arrested accused of alleged sexual harassment to a female student on September 20, 219. He was the state minister for Home Affairs in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government. The female student’s allegation is that the BJP leader has been raped for a year offering a chance of admission in college.

Family:

Swami Chinmayanand was born on March 3, 1947, to a royal family of Avadh in the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, India. Nothing knows about his father and mother as well as other famous relatives.

Education:

Swami Chinmayanand studied at Lucknow University in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and completed Master of Arts (M.A.). Then he received a doctorate degree from the Prachya Darshan Mahavidyalaya in Vrindavan, Mathura.

Career:

Chinmayanand kicked off the journey in politics winning the Lok Sabha Election in 1999 and join the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a state minister fo Home Affairs. He is very fond of education and founded several educational institutes in Shahjahanpur. Chinmayanand founded the Swami Shukdevanand Post Graduate College (SS College). He also runs an ashram in Shahjahanpur.

He is notable for his writing skills and already has written several religious and spiritual books such as shakti Vaibhav, Parmaarth Path, App Dipo Bhav, Athato Satya Jigajasa, and Arvind Ka Ati Maanav Vaad.

Swami Chinmayanan is the editor of two monthly magazines Pramarath and Vivek Rashmi.

Controversies:

A female law student of UP college run by the BJP leader posted a video alleging sexual exploitation by Swami Chinmayanand. The student’s mother was appointed to the college in May this year. Finally, the Indian ex-minister Swami Chinmayanand is arrested in a sexual abuse case of the student although initially, the police did not take her case.

More than ten years ago another sexual harassment allegation was raised against him.
