Sheikh Hasina was born on 28 September 1947 in Tungipara of Gopalganj district. His father was the first President of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his mother Begum Fazilatunnesa. He is the eldest of five siblings. He took his childhood education in Tungipara.
