One year later, she appeared in the Tamil romantic film ‘Roja Malare’ in the role of Malarvizhi. The actress made her Hindi debut with the comedy-drama film ‘Pad Man’ as Lakshmi Prasad’s neighbor along with Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor.
The actress made her television debut with the drama ‘Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr’ in 2002 which she portrayed the role of Nikki Sharma. One year later, she acted in Ekta Kapoor’s soap opera ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ as Kamini Khanna. In 2013, Riva worked in the Indian television series ‘Beintehaa’ aired on Colors TV. Then the actress appeared in the mythological epic series ‘Suryaputra Karn’ in 2015 aired on Sony TV.
