Richard Ernest Evans, also known as Richie Evans was an American racing driver who won nine NASCAR National Modified Championships, including eight in a row from 1978 to 1985. He was born on July 23, 1941 in Westernville, New York, United States and died on October 24, 1985 at the age of 44 in Martinsville, Virginia, United States.
