Himakshi Kalita, born 31 st August 1998 is an Assamese film actress, dancer, social media influencer from Assam, India. She is known for her role as Boidehi in Assamese Television series Boidehi telecasted on Rang Channel. Himakshi made her debut movie “KUN” directed by Anuprash Das. She has acted in numerous Assamese music videos and she is also currently doing another TV series named, Jonaki Kareng.

Career
Himakshi Kalita won the ‘National Best Actress Award’ in 2012 at Dehradun.
It was the day she went for a drama competition in Dehradun with her Bihu Dance group. The director asked Himakshi to perform a small role in the drama, but later the director was so impressed with her acting so that she got the main role for the same. Later, Himakshi won the “National Best Actress Award”. Since then she has never looked back. This is how her career journey started.
Himakshi Kalita afterwards also won many titles which include- Miss Nikon DY365, Miss Telegraph Assam, and runner up for Miss Sanskriti Award. Himakshi has been a part of many fashion shows, anchor, short films, drams and music videos. She is the brand ambassador of Sunshine Academy of Makeup and Styling Northeast.
Tv Appearances
Himakshi first appeared in front of the camera was an Assamese song, “Borokha Mukhor Sondhiya” sung by Aryaneel. Then she got the chance to act in the song “Hiradoi” sung by Zubeen Garg and Bornali Kalita. The song was an instant hit and people started noticing her.
Himakshi Kalita acted in two Assamese Tv series, they are Boidehi and Jonaki Kareng. Boidehi is a very popular Assamese language television serial in Assam.
