Harshvardhan Lunia spent his early life on Ahmedabad, India. He studied in Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and after passing, he became a chartered accountant back in 2003. After that, he again studied in Indian School of Business and completed his course in 2008.

After completing his degree, he joined HDFC Bank as a small business relationship manager and worked about a year. Then he decided to move to Standard Chartered Bank and did the job of City Manager for about two and a half years. After that, he again became a Relationship Manager at ICICI Bank for 2 years.
Then in 2010, he founded his own company called ‘Domestic Finance & Investment Private Limited’ and became a directory there as well. This company started developing and arranging various credit solutions for SMEs. This company did a similar job as his current startup Lendingkart.

He and Mukul Sachan together founded the company and started focusing on the use of analytical data along with online data to determine the qualified SMSes who can lend money from Lendingkart.
