Golam Saklain Shithil is a BCS cadre and the police officer of Bangladesh who received the PPM medal from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He was born and brought up in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He was working as Additional Commissioner of Police in the Detective (North) Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Education –
Golam Saklain passed the SSC examination in 2001 from Sarada Government Pilot Academy High School, Rajshahi with a GPA of 4.63 in the science department. Later he was admitted in class XI in Rajshahi New Govt. Degree college. But Saklain had to struggle hard at the high school level. Then he was admitted to the sociology department of Rajshahi University. He was the first in this section in the admission test.
Family Background –
Md Golam Saklain Shithil was born in a Muslim middle-class family in Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
Saqlain’s father was the sole breadwinner in the family. He had to spent a lot of money on the treatment because of his spinal problems. So the family could not afford to offer Saklain a better and comfortable student life. He had to struggle hard during his school days.
Saklain is married and his wife is also an officer in the administration cadre. His wife is working as an Upazila Executive Officer in a district around Dhaka. They also have a child.
Career –
Saklaim became the first in the police cadre list in the 30th BCS. After joining, he also excelled in basic training at the Police Academy. He received the Best Probationary Award and the Best Academic Excellence Award. He was also the first to take Masters of Police Science under Rajshahi University to enhance his professional skills. It was also speculated that he would receive many more awards for his professional skills. The medal, which was distributed among the members of the police in recognition of their latest bravery and skill, was naturally announced in his name. He has received President’s Police Medal (PPM).
According to the Detective Branch (DB) of the police, he was awarded the medal for his heroic deeds and immense bravery in arresting the top terrorists of the country and in gunfights.
Scandal –
The arrest of a famous actress named Pori Moni from Dhaka in a drug case has caused a stir in Dhaliwood. The actress was arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion or RAB on August 4, 2021. She was taken to court the next day and remanded in police custody for four days. Some exciting information has came to Pori moni’s police interrogation. Pori moni has admitted that a top police officer was fell in love with her.
The police officer is none other than Golam Saklain. He got involved in extramarital affair and illegal activities with the criticized actress of Bangladesh named Pori Moni.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Gulshan Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police Golam Saqlain Shithil has been removed from his post. He has been restricted from all activities of DB and attached to the DMP’s Public Order Management (POM) West Division.
The decision was made based on allegations that he had engaged in ‘unprofessional conduct’ with actress Pori Moni. In a video clip that has been doing the rounds on social media, Pori Moni and Saklain could be seen getting off a car together. Another clip showed the two leaving the apartment in a different set of clothes at midnight.
DMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam said Saklain would face action if the allegations against him prove true.
