On October 29, 2021, Mikula was on headlines after he was caught on by the police officer in Florida after a high-speed chase as he was accused of smoking his tires and running a red light in his Dodge Challenger within sight of a nearby patrol car.

Instead of stopping, he sped away from the trooper who then chased after him but still he was hitting speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. He knowingly broke the traffic rules and was arrested later at his home without any incident in his driveaway.
