Khaleda Zia Real Name

Begum Khaleda Zia’s real name is Khaleda Khanam Putul. He was born on August 15, 1945 78 Years old of 2024, in Dinajpur. She is the third of three sisters and two brothers. The brothers are the youngest. His grandfather Haji Salamat Ali, grandfather Toabur Rahman of Jalpaiguri. Father Mr. Iskander Majumder and mother Begum Tayyaba Majumder. Mudipara of Dinajpur city. The original ancestral home is Majumdar Bari of Sreepur village in Fulgazi upazila of Feni district. Father Mr. Iskander Majumdar was a businessman.

Khaleda Zia School Life

Khaleda was admitted to the Mission School in Dinajpur when she was five years old. She completed her matriculation from the Dinajpur Government Girls’ High School in 1960. The same year she married Ziaur Rahman. From then on she became known as Khaleda Zia or Begum Khaleda Zia. She studied at Surendranath College in Dinajpur till 1965 before moving to West Pakistan with her husband.

Khaleda Zia Married Life

Her husband is former President of Bangladesh Lieutenant General Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam. She was married to Ziaur Rahman in August 1960. Her Husband Zia was then a captain in the East Pakistan Army. He was then working in Dinajpur as an officer of DFI. One of his brothers, Major Saeed Eskander, was an elected Member of Parliament for the Feni-1 constituency from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. The eldest of his two sons, Tareq Rahman, is the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. His youngest son Arafat Rahman Koko died on January 24, 2015, at the University Malaya Hospital in Malaysia after a heart attack.

On 19 March 1991, Begum Khaleda Zia was appointed Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in the 6th Parliamentary Election. Sixth National Assembly elections were held on 15 February 1996. Which was later treated as a one-party election in 1996. After the objections of all the opposition, Khaleda Zia and her party elected this unit. On October 1, 2001, in parliamentary elections in Bangladesh, Khaleda Zia Own her 3rd election Victory.
