Nazmun Munira Nancy, popularly known as Nancy, is a Bangladeshi singer. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her playback in the film Projapoti. She received Meril-Prothom Alo Awards Best Female Singer Award for six times.

Nazmun Munir Nancy was born on December 13, 1987, in Netrakona, Bangladesh to the father, Naimul Haque, and mother, Josna Haque. Nancy was a brilliant student at her schooling who secured the first position from class one to ten, but it is a matter of upset that she could not get an A+ in the Higher Secondary School Certificate exam. Nancy was involved with the music arena from an early stage of life, was enlisted in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television as a singer. Nancy’s mother encouraged her so much to build up a career in the music industry.
Nancy Career:
Famous Bangladeshi singer, Ferdous Wahid would visit nancy’s village house and she would sing with the presence of Ferdous Wahid. That was time; a female singer was needed for the jingle of Habib and Ferdous Wahid informed Habib Wahid about Nancy’s talent thereby she got change for a TV commercial jingle for the first time. Nancy made her debut as a playback singer with the movie ‘Hridoyer Kotha’. Then she played back for the movie “Akash Chhowa Bhalobasa” and got numerous admiration for her songs ‘Prithibir Joto Shukh’ and Hawiye Hawaye Dolna Dole. She also sang with Habib Wahid in the song ‘Tomare Dekhilo Porano Bhoriya’ for the movie ‘Chandragrahan’. Her first music album Balobasha Adhora was released in 2009. Besides singing Nancy is active in politics, joined in Bangladesh National Party on September 11, 2014.

Nancy got married to Shourav in 2006 and they have a daughter named Rodela. On 4 March 2013, she got married again to a businessman named Jayed. Her father, Naimul Haque also married for the second time in 2014. Recently, she has attempted suicide taking over sleeping pills.
