Anand Mahindra tied the knot with Anuradha, a journalist, and later launched the magazine, Verve. She is currently the editor of Man’s World and the magazines Verve. The couple together has two daughters named Divya and Alika. He has a keen interest in making film and loves listening to music. In addition, he engages with several charity works beyond the corporate world.

Anand Mahindra Early Life & Education:

Anand Mahindra was born on May 1, 1955, in Mumbai, India to Harish Mahindra and Indira Mahindra. His father was an Indian industrialist where mother was a housewife. He has two sisters named Anuja Sharma and Radhika Nath. Anand completed schooling at Lawrence School, Lovedale. Then he enrolled at Harvard University to study filmmaking and architecture. In 1977, he completed his graduation degree. Later Anand completed an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Anand Mahindra Career:

Anand Mahindra kicked off their career journey by joining Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Ltd (MUSCO) as an Executive Assistant in 1981. Nearly 8 years later, he was appointed as President and Deputy Managing Director of MUSCO.

Two years later in 1991, Anand joined as the Deputy Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Finally, in 2012, he was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Mahindra Group replacing his uncle Keshub Mahindra.

He is a member of the board of U.S.–the India Business Council (USIBC) beyond Mahindra.
