Alexa Demie is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Maddy Perez on the HBO teen drama television series Euphoria. Demie made her feature film debut with a minor role in the comedy-drama Brigsby Bear, and went on to star in the coming-of-age film Mid90s and the drama film Waves.

She has released two singles
Alexa is a singer-songwriter, and released her first single, “Girl Like Me,” in 2016. In September 2021, she dropped her next song, “Leopard Limo (Archive LL11).” She’s also featured in Pearl’s 2016 track, “Turnin’ Tricks.” According to a 2019 interview with The New York Times, Alexa is working on her first EP.
She launched an eyewear brand in high school
In an October 2020 episode of The A24 Podcast, Alexa explained that when she was in high school, she went to downtown Los Angeles and purchased a box of wholesale sunglasses and decorated them with jewels and other embellishments. After she landed a retail order through a store her friend worked at, she spent three days handcrafting each pair. “[The store owner] sold them at his boutique in Japan for a lot of money, and they just got really popular,” Alexa explained.
Eventually, stars such as G-Dragon, Jennifer Lopez, and Nicki Minaj started wearing the frames, and Alexa traveled to Japan and Taiwan for trade shows. They were even featured in Vogue Korea once. But once she realized that she was doing so much work for zero compensation, she stopped designing the glasses.
She’s in a long-term relationship
According to Cosmopolitan UK, Alexa has been dating 34-year-old Christian Berishaj since 2017. He is a singer-songwriter who goes by his stage name, JMSN, and has worked with artists such as Tyga and Kendrick Lamar. Their relationship appears to be super private, but Alexa has been featured in a couple of his song’s music videos, including “Slide” and “Act Like I’m Not Here.”

- Alexa at times did her own character’s makeup and worked alongside the makeup team to fine-tune Maddy’s looks.
- On July 15, 2019, Alexa and Algee Smith held an ask session on the show’s official Twitter account, @euphoriaHBO, which can be read back here. In it, he revealed the following:
- Alexa believes that Maddy’s favorite emojis would be the hand with the nails, the cherries, the kiss, and the pink heart.
- One of Alexa’s favorite scenes to film so far was the interrogation scene in Episode 5, where she got to throw things at the glass window.
