Alamgir is an evergreen actor in the Bangladesh film industry who won nine National Film Awards. He dominated in the film industry in the 1980s and 1990s. Alamgir acted in all kinds of movies like action, social action, and romantic. After a long period of time, he is still now same popular around the country. He is considered the superhero in the country.

Alamgir Early Life:

Alamgir was born on April 3, 1950, in Dhaka Medical College, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His father Alhaz Kalim Uddin Ahmed was a producer of the Dhallywood film industry who played a role as an executive producer in the first of movie of Bangladesh “Mukh O Mukhosh”. So he was born in a film-loving family, and later build up a career in the film industry of Bangladesh.

Alamgir Career:

Alamgir kicked off the journey in the film industry of Bangladesh with the movie “Amar Jonmovumi” in 1973  directed by Alamgir Kumkum. Then he acted in the movie “Dasyu Rani”. In 1985, Alamgir showed his terrific performance in the movie ” Ma o Chele” and won the first National Film Award. Then he acted lots of blockbuster movie in the Dhallywood film industry including “Moroner Pore”, “Bhat De”, “Pita Mata Santan”, “Ando Bishwas” and “Deshpremik”. above mention movies brought him lots of awards in his career including several National Film Awards.

Alamgir made his directorial debut with the movie “Nishpap” in 1986. He also played back in various movies as a singer.

Alamgir Personal Life:

Alamgir married Koshnor Alamgir in 1973. Popular singer Akhi Alamgir is their daughter. After divorced from Koshnor Alamgir he tied the knot again with singer Runa Laila.
